Nick Jonas is striking out on his own with a new band, Nick Jonas and the Administration. The Administration is made up of members from Prince’s New Power Generation. The new album Who I Am dropped Feb. 2.
Nick’s new album is nothing like the trademark brothers style. It is much more mature in both its lyrical style and melodies. Fans may find listening to this new offbeat style a little weird at first, but nothing could keep true fans away from Nick’s euphoric and soulful voice.
He remains true to his profound and sensitive side. Nick is sure to draw tears from his adoring fans as he sings about a young girl’s struggles comparing her to a rose garden in the touching track “Rose Garden.”
If that track doesn’t touch a listener’s heart, then it would not be a stretch to say they may have a hearing problem. “Olive & An Arrow” tries to figure out just exactly who he is and why he loves a girl who continues to tear him apart. He knows she does not treat him they way she should, but still she pulls him in.
The Deluxe Version is available both in stores and on Itunes, where it features ten original songs and eight live video performances of Who I Am tracks.
While Nick is branching out musically, the other Jonas’ are taking different life paths. Joe Jonas is pursuing a career in acting, while Kevin is focusing on his newlywed life. Despite rumors and these new paths, the band denies any form of break up. They plan on sticking together through the changes and creating music together once again.
