McTriple is a hit but not part of the menu

Having empty wallets and stomachs seems to be a major problem for high school students nationwide, or at least here in Akron. When a hot filling meal is desired, spending under $5 is a must for penny-pinching kids. Enter the McTriple stack.

Assuming by the prefix “Mc” that this meal deal is from Mcdonalds would be correct, but no it is not on the menu at all. The mighty meal is created from two simple dollar menu items, the McDouble and the McChicken. Created by consumers by inserting the entire McChicken (buns included) in between the beef patties of the McDouble, this heavenly beefy, chicken sandwhich will silence the empty groans of the stomach and leave wallets full as well with its $2 price tag.

While this may sound like it’s a heart stopper, surpisingly it only contains 750 calories. By far, this is no tofu burger, but for McDonalds, this is a Mcmiracle. Another plus is it contains 36 grams of protein and only 11 grams of sugar. One caveat is for those watching their cholesterol , as it does contain 100mg (http://nutrition.mcdonalds.com/nutritionexchange/nutritionInfo.do).

“It’s like heaven between four buns with a side of cheese,” junior McTriple stack enthusiast Jack Myers said.

When looking for a hearty burger and chicken sandwhich that won’t break the bank, give the McTriple stack a try.
