The knights as a team fell short but seniors Elizabeth Green and Jessica Monet Harvey qualified for the district tournament in the single’s division. The team as a whole bowled 2,859. Green placed second with a series of 532 for three games and a high game of 213. Harvey finished third with a series of 526 for three games and a high game of 187.

“I bowled my best game ever last Sunday. It was so exciting and instead of getting tired and losing my focus in the second match, which normally happens, I bowled a solid 526 for three games,” Harvey said.

Both girls moving on agree that, the competitive level in the singles division will be vastly different than what they are accustomed to.

“The competition at the last level wasn’t too difficult, Jess and i placed in the top 3 individuals. We bowled teams we’ve played against all season. Sunday is going to be a big jump from last weekend though,” Green said. We’re going to need at least a 600, which is three games of at least 200.”

In the face of adversity the two senior bowlers are ready to face the rise in the level of competition head on.

“It’s entirely possible but it won’t be easy. But that is what it will take, there are going to be so many polished, solid bowlers there this weekend,” Green said.

Green and Harvey will be bowling Sunday at 1 p.m. at Hall of Fame Lanes in Canton for a chance to move on to the state finals.
